As you may have guessed, I am the wee librarian. The name pretty much says it all, except the fact that I call Canada my home.
When I’m not librarianating, I go by the less flashy name of Krista Godfrey. I work at Memorial University, and yes, all views on this blog are my own and not my employer’s. I am the Web Services Librarian at MUN and spend most of my days working on the website, mobile stuff, usability testing and improving user experience. I’ve also been a liaison librarian at McMaster University and still have interest in educational technologies. I have taught a distance reference course for the Mohawk College Library Technician program.
I do lots with my professional associations. I’m the VP for Newfoundland and Labrador for the Atlantic Provinces Library Association (APLA). I’m a former Ontario Library Information Technology Association (OLITA) president.
My blog will touch on all things library-related, leaning more heavily to technology, UX and occasionally info lit/teaching issues. Hope you enjoy it!
Stumbled upon your blog a week ago and decided to come back. Not for the articles you write, but for how you write them, really amazing stuff you’re doing here, i like how you put information into the articles which makes it much more easier to read and much more interesting of course. Keep up the good work!
Hi Krista! I enjoyed your SL session at OLA. I’ve dabbled a bit, and would love to have *more time* to explore. I’m also focussed on being where the users are, but try hard to figure that out, and not succub to “techno lust”, even though that can be fun! I’m looking forward to keeping an eye on your blog.
